You can be a church planter

IMT empowers and equips people called to minister across cultures to see God’s Kingdom advance and believing communities arise.

Intensive Missionary Training (IMT) is a three week, cross-cultural ministry training programme aimed at equipping you for mission work in other cultures. We focus on preparing you with practical ministry tools and appropriate mission strategy for seeing churches planted and believing communities develop. Our programme also includes preparing you for living cross-culturally and understanding culture better.

Twelve participants gathered in the South East coast town of Port Elisabeth, South Africa a few weeks ago to take part in the Intensive Missions Training course (IMT). The course is designed and created by OM missionaries Jeremy and Marlene Sieberhagen who returned from central Asia after many years in the field. The aim is to equip those preparing to go into long-term missions, particularly in least reached contexts.

Our History

How it all started

In 2012, Jeremy and Marlene Sieberhagen returned to OM South Africa after 20 years of ministry in Central Asia as missionaries and church planters. The first Intensive Missionary Training was launched that year, in Port Elizabeth, and six students were trained over three weeks for frontier missions. Since then, the course has been held twice a year and has now become part of the calendar for training events yearly. Our partnership with MDT, and receiving some of their students, has been essential for our progress.
